Tabs in TextMate

TextMate tabs:

  • are ugly
  • look out of place
  • don’t scroll
  • don’t allow you to close files
  • are insanely less efficent than Command+T
  • at least five more quibbles

Therefore, them being essentially useless and annoying, I just turn them off:

defaults write com.macromates.textmate OakProjectWindowShowTabBarEnabled false
